Thirty years in the United States, most of them without any form of medical insurance. Like many Americans I just hoped that I didn’t get sick. If you don’t have health insurance in the States, say your prayers and give your heart to God because the quality of care is you receive will be mediocre at best.
Recently I had to go to the hospital, First I needed to see a doctor to prescribe a sonogram and blood test. Afterwards, I had to go to the hospital because they had the facilities needed for this medical problem….
There are many stereotypes that bug me. People naturally think in generalizations and stereotypes so it isn’t easy to identify them 100% of the time. The obvious ones are racist, sexist or just plain ridiculous: Mexicans are lazy, and Asians are good in math, women are bad drivers, Pollock’s are stupid, blacks can’t swim and the French are rude. Let’s stop and take a good look at that last one, “The French are Rude.” Who are these people that like to say French people are rude? Why do they say that and what do they all have in common?

Respect to NBC japanese tourists recently suffer from the “Paris syndrome”. Basically these japanese tourists got a idillyc view of Paris and its inhabitants and get very disappointed because of the rudeness of Paris, transportation, people, etc…
So are we too rude or are they oversensitive????
First is: I am tired of this question ;-)
2nd: there are many Paris, I mean the touristical city (Le Louvre, le Sacré Coeur, le Chateau de Versailles, etc…), the business Paris (definitly a tourist should not try the metro ligne 1 at 8:00am when this lign is overloaded but all the people going to work in La Defense: you can trust me, there is not that much smile in the people face…). The 2 cities are the same but the first one is more happy and smilly face that the second one.
