Since I’m quite new to this tweeting frenzy, I’m still looking around. I’ve made my first tweet ever talking about the local weather! You know how much I love babbling about the weather here ;)

Anyhow, this builds up some more pressure to make sure I keep on updating the blog. Sorry for these past couple of weeks by the way :( Post more soon!

It certainly generated a lot of buzz, particularly when the preview stated towards the end “Rendez vous le 31 mars… Vous n’avez encore rien vu”. So today’s the 31st of March, and guess what, there’s not much that is new really – just an extension to that preview, saying he is now up for auction to wear your brand. Note that the newly released video now has text in English too, presumably he’s also open to foreign sponsorship that’s not based in France now that the video has gone international.

I don’t know what I can say for the passerbys in Paris (in Montmartre, in Marais, on Pont des Arts etc) on the day(s) he did the run though. What an eyeful?

This blog suggests that we follow the author through “urban exploration” of Paris. Going on the roofs or underground… in places where you don’t expect to meet many people…

Illustrated with many pictures, it’s a very interesting read! You should go take a look ;)

Also, I’d like to mention the fact the this blog is available both in French and in English, which I find most admirable. Even though it’s not an exact translation: there is, from what I gather, basically a French blog and an English one, which do not contain the same posts. Still a most brave endeavour :D (You may remember how torn I was / am about which language I should use here…)

But until then, if you are looking for distractions from these quiet time while stuck indoor all that often (no thanks to the generally awful weather), here are a few suggestions.

Ma vie est tout à fait fascinante
Pénélope Jolicoeur is a brainchild of Pénélope Bagieu, in the form of webcomic and all too amusing. Some may chalk this as a girlie diversion, and perhaps it is, but these illustrations along with the text are entertaining and often make me chuckle out loud.

Paris Daily Photo
Eric posts a photo a day of Paris, accompanied by short paragraph of description or anecdotes. It gives you a glimpse into many facets of Parisian lives, and before you know it, you would have found your way around this city since he also often indicates the arrondisement where the photos were taken.

Stuff Parisians Like
You may or may not have heard or read about Stuff White People Like, but it’s a site of satirical jokes that has taken the blogging world by storm. Some finds it offensive, other sees the humour and laughs along. Stuff Parisians Like is written in similar tongue-in-cheek manner, and whether you agree with Olivier or not, it’s up to you.

Paris Avant
Are you just that bit curious what Paris used to look like? Paris Avant is brought to life by Frédéric, and at about noon each day, a pair of photos of a location in Paris will be posted. One from the past, one of current day, for comparison of course. It’s amazing how little Paris has transformed, yet modernised at the same time.

If Metblogs is a city, hub.metblogs is the playground. We kept hearing from people that one of their favorite parts of Metblogs was meeting and interacting with readers and writers from other parts of the world, as well as getting requests for more ways that readers could be involved besides just posting comments. We thought about this for a while and decided that with a network like this, a giant community area where folks from all over the world could hang out, post photos and videos, talk with each other, form groups, play games, send messages, and do about a million other things was probably a pretty fun idea. The Hub is that.
